Senior Portrait Spotlight: Lauren

Some seniors I photograph for a season, and some I’ve had the joy of watching grow up. Lauren is one of those special ones. I’ve been photographing her since before she was even in school, and now somehow she’s an Algonquin senior!

For her senior session, we made the most of two beautiful locations — starting in a gorgeous field of flowers and at the beach. Two completely different settings, and both gave us something special.

And because Lauren will be heading to Springfield College in the fall to play lacrosse, we were able to bring a little bit of her next chapter into her senior portraits too.

One of the fun things I can do once a senior has chosen their college is incorporate their school, colors, sport, or other details into their portraits. It’s a great way to celebrate not only where they are now, but where they’re headed.

Lauren, it has been so much fun watching you grow through the years. One could argue that you've been a bit of a muse. :) Wishing you an amazing senior year and an exciting next chapter!

Senior Portrait Spotlight: Nyla

What better way to kick off the first day of school than with a Senior Spotlight?

Meet Nyla, a stunning Algonquin senior whose portrait session took us to beautiful Newburyport. We made the most of the evening, capturing a little bit of everything...ocean views, city streets, beautiful flowers, and all the charm that makes Newburyport such a gorgeous place for portraits.

Nyla was wonderful to photograph and I love how her portraits reflect so many different sides of her personality and style.

As my social media feed fills with friends and clients dropping their college kids off at campus, I’m brought right back to these moments…

It’s such an exciting time for your children as they begin this next chapter, but there’s no denying how bittersweet it is for the parents who have watched them grow into the incredible young adults they are today.

And this is one of the many reasons I love working with high school seniors. I get to meet them during this in-between season when they’re still your kids, but you can already see the young adults they’re becoming. I get to capture their personalities, their confidence, their passions, and all the little things that make them them before they head off into the world.

Good luck out there, mamas and dads! And of course, I’m wishing your kiddos an amazing year ahead.

Senior Portrait Spotlight: Michael
We’re heading into a new school year, which means senior year is officially here! Today’s spotlight is Michael, an Algonquin senior and football player. We photographed his senior session this summer, giving us a chance to create some great portraits before the busy school-year schedule kicked in.

And this is your reminder, Class of 2027: if you haven’t booked your senior portraits yet, now is the time! Once school, clubs, shows, sports, college visits, activities, and everything else get underway, schedules fill up quickly.

Summer sessions are already underway, and I have a limited number of dates available. Let’s get your session on the calendar before senior year gets really busy!

Every year, I have the privilege of meeting a new group of seniors. Each brings their own personality, dreams, and story to tell. One of the things I love most about senior portraits is getting to know these remarkable young adults as they stand on the threshold of an exciting new chapter.
