Anthony Bourdain described Cartagena's Bazurto Market as a chaotic, vibrant "independent city-state within a city" and the true heart of local cuisine. Be warned, approaching from the side where they clean fish every day, smells like a thousand rotting corpses, but it fades away once you're inside. It's an incredible, enormous labyrinth where you can buy just about anything. We ate where Tony ate, Cecelia's, served by her daughter, and it was the best food we ate in Colombia. This is a MUST VISIT place.
