This home is an absolute masterclass in balancing architectural heritage with modern livability. I had the pleasure of capturing the light and lines of Boxcroft House, a stunning residence originally designed by the legendary McKim, Mead & White.

The restoration and renovation by is nothing short of seamless. From the crisp millwork and the warmth of the original hardwoods to the way the new transitions honor the historic scale of the home, every frame was a joy to compose. It’s rare to see a renovation that feels this fresh while remaining so deeply rooted in its history.

There is a unique weight to your lens when standing inside a piece of architectural history. I recently had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful restoration of Boxcroft House in the heart of Newport, RI.

Originally designed by the legendary McKim, Mead & White, the home has been thoughtfully renovated by Horan Building Company. As a photographer, it was a dream to document how they’ve balanced Gilded Age integrity with modern light—the way the morning glow hits that butcher block island and custom millwork is pure magic.
