So this weekend as I am still working, I thought I would have a little fun at a serious topic. Long story short, I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)....basically a slow growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It helped explain a few things like being tired alot (not just getting older and needing to lose some weight!).
The good news: There are very successfull treatments I'm undergoing, some changes I'll need to make, and some time to get through the initial treatments and appointments to push the cancer into remission.
The bad news: I can't do anything which is WRONG! Treatments have some side effects, which are temporary. I'm a little slow and get tired a bit easily, but that will improve. I'm still working everyday except my treatment days which will be tapering off soon.
I'm still here doing what I love and doing my job! I've been losing some work and being passed over because of word of my illness and the perception that I'm not or can't work. Nope, I'm still around! I'm not letting a lifetime of work to keep me doing what I love.
My challenge is to keep busy while I fight through this and need your help and confidence to know that I'm still here and waiting for your call!
