Spooky Family Photos....but all in good fun!

I loved that a few of my families were up for something a little different when one asked to bring pumpkin head masks to their session an we ended up using with a few families!

What a fantastic October we had with family photoshoots. Although you'll find me in the studio most of the year, seasonally I'm always happy to get outside for portraits or small events as the schedule allows. It continues to challenge my lighting and composition skills in a totally different way, and we always have a lot of fun.

I have so many fall galleries to share, and of course, tonight is Halloween! But TOMORROW we pivot quickly to CHRISTMAS with our first day with Santa Claus! (2 spot still available, sign up on my website!)

Be sure to let me know what you/your kids are dressing up as tonight! Have fun, and be safe!
*Christmas Clients* Don't forget --> daylight savings time, your Prep Guide Email with Check In Link, & a new/unwrapped toy for our Toy Drive for tomorrow! We'll be posting a peek at our getting ready prep from today later this afternoon

Another beautiful fall photoshoot at a new location this year, and we had such a great time with this family!

I love mixing traditional, beautifully posed portraits with more candid moments whenever families are comfortable with that. Some families love a little more direction, others are happy to play and interact, and we make sure to leave room for both.

Most importantly, we want everyone to feel comfortable, have fun, and enjoy their time with us. Getting to know each family is one of my favorite parts of what we do, and it's especially meaningful when they come back year after year to let us continue capturing their story.

*Reminder* Christmas sessions are coming up FAST!

Here’s what’s still available:
- Sunday, November 1: Just 2 morning spots left!
- Saturday, November 7: Family Christmas Day (no Santa) - still some spots available!
- Saturday, November 14: Santa Day #2 - 3:45pm available (may open a few more if needed!)
- Wednesday, November 25: Our final Santa visit of the season, with 3 VIP spots left! A great option with the early school and work dismissals on Thanksgiving Eve.
Need something different for your Christmas family session? Message me and we'll find something that works for you!

A sweet little girl in a brand-new floral bucket setup!

I recently photographed her parents’ beautiful studio maternity session, and they were so happy with the experience that they came back to me to capture their little girl’s first newborn portraits, too. That truly means so much to me! It’s such an honor to continue working with my families and help tell their stories through all of life’s biggest milestones.

And speaking of milestones… Christmas sessions are coming up FAST!

Here’s what’s still available:
- Sunday, November 1: Just 2 spots left!
- Saturday, November 7: Family Christmas Day - spots available!
- Saturday, November 14: Santa Day #2 - 3 spots left!
- Wednesday, November 25: Our final Santa visit of the season, with 3 spots left! A great option with the early school and work dismissals on Thanksgiving Eve.

It's that time of year again!

Starting November 1st, we'll be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the entire month at our holiday and regular client session to support Newington Human Services via the Newington Police Department Stuff a Cruiser event held in early December.

Please consider bringing a toy to your session (big kids need gifts too!). Holiday Session Clients will be entered to win an upgrade of your Christmas gallery OR 5 additional high resolution digital files (if a non-holiday client!). Members of the public who enter instead will be entered to win a $100 Gift Certificate towards TFL services!

Thank you in advance for your support of our Toy Drive! Members of the public also welcome to drop off at our studio in Newington any time! I know things are tight this year, but this will help our local community families have an easier time this holiday season!

WEB Members - I'd love your support too at our Holiday Potluck!

Every year, I create a completely new Christmas set for the studio, and this year marks our 12th! What started as a question from a Client after they waited 5 hours in line at the mall when Frozen first came out and it was styled that way has turned into an annual tradition.

Our 2026 theme, Christmas Nostalgia, is filled with vintage-inspired 1950s & 60s Christmas charm, colorful details, and real pieces that have been handmade, restored, or carefully collected specifically for this set over the last year. It's a labor of love for my entire family, and it's one of my favorite parts of creating these sessions each year.

We capture those special moments with Santa, and beautiful family portraits you can enjoy for years to come. Kids don't just come to take photos, they come for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Christmas sessions begin November 1st, and I'm still booking families for this year's experience. We'd love to add a few more families to our day!

Whether you're planning a visit with Santa, your update Family Christmas Card, or maybe even a gift for the Grandparents, I'd love to have you in the studio!

Happy Tuesday!

This time of year, the algorithm will have to forgive me for the content it "wants" and be ok with the content I can provide during busy season! :)

The good news is that I have so much joy looking through all of the beautiful galleries of families I've worked with. This crew is with me for their 3rd year and always dress to impress!

I love catching up with my families, and the kids actually enjoy seeing us too! We try to have as much fun as we can!

*Reminders*:

*Christmas begins 11/1! We still have a few spots available for Santa & Family photos! 11/7 & 11/14 also filling up and we have 4 Santa VIP spots left for our Thanksgiving Eve afternoon too! VIP Family Sessions available for after Thanksgiving through about the second week of December (or so). Be sure to get scheduled before you forget - now is a great time! www.theflashladyphotography.com/christmas
**2026 is almost full for the year through December! If you're hoping to get a session with me before then, please reach out ASAP! Outdoor sessions are full for the season at this time.
**2027 is already booking for January/February/March especially Newborn due dates.
***Our 6th Annual TOY DRIVE to support the Newington Police Department/Human Services is coming up for the month of November. Please consider dropping off a new/unwrapped toy or bring one to your session. Christmas Clients will be entered to win a FREE upgrade of their entire gallery! Out of the mouths of babes...and that umbrella thing makes your photos pop! 😂

When you've worked with clients for multiple years, the kids get REALLY comfortable asking you questions!

Those questions lead to conversations, which lead to smiles and better photos!

Clients are not just a number in my calendar. They are each a story waiting to be told. That story is BEST told when I have a relationship with you, and especially, your kids. Trust is built on these relationships over time with the same studio. And, my family.

At The Flash Lady Photography, we don't just want to take your photo. We want to tell your story. Many times over. And give you one of the only things in life that's truly timeless.
