Las mejores historias se viven en persona y en Huanchaco entendí que el mar no solo guarda historia, pero también la cuenta a través de su linda gente. Escuchar a pioneros y descendientes de distintas artes, ver sus manos y su forma de habitar, me recordaron lo importante que es detenernos a celebrar estas historias antes de que se pierdan.

Este proyecto nace desde la cercanía y es un homenaje íntimo a quienes han hecho del mar su vida y su legado, gracias querida por llevarme a tu tierra, un cachito más de nuestro Perú.

Over the past few months I’ve thought a lot about mentorship and the people who shaped me. One of the biggest influences in my life was my mentor, Tom, who taught me that legacy isn’t just the work we leave behind but the impact we have on those around us.

At an attempt to continue his, I’m starting a free 4-week mentorship for emerging photographers who are looking for guidance, clarity, or just honest conversation about this rollercoaster field. We’ll meet online once a week starting Sunday, Apr 12, in a small group setting to discuss creative identity, portfolio & visual voice, navigating the industry, and building a sustainable path.
