I wanted to share the series that started my fascination with tattoos and the way they so powerfully display a person’s life story. “Ink Stories” was born one evening in 2015 when I met Ginzilla in my photography studio in NYC. During our shoot, she disclosed that all her tattoos had been inked on her by her lovers- a love story of pain and rebellion on her skin, sparked by the repression of her traditional upbringing. And so “Geisha Ink” was born. You can see the uncensored work on my website through the link in my bio.
