This looks like it could be from a war. It’s actually a kid playing in Central Park. In 1962, Diane Arbus circled him for several minutes — almost every frame she shot looks completely normal. Except one. That single frame became one of the most famous photographs ever taken. MoMA bought it for $75. A signed print later sold for $785,000.
