Recognizing your growth is so important!! This is how I would have edited this senior shoot now. Swipe to see how I edited it back in 2023 😅 Not to mention the different ways and techniques I would have used to take this shot in general. All that to say, thank you to everyone who has supported my art even back in the beginning and to those who will continue to support it in the future when I look back on how much I will have grown then. 🧡

I think it’s so important to meet kids where they’re at when it comes to photos. That’s where the magic actually happens. The giggles, the curiosity, the little moments in between poses… that’s their personality, and that’s what you’ll want to remember years from now.

Because let’s be honest, how often are kids perfectly still? The best photos aren’t forced, they’re felt. I’d much rather capture them as they are than try to turn them into something they’re not.

Who better to tell your brand story than you?

I've always been the kind of person that if I want something done, I'll figure out a way to make it happen. So when it came time for new brand photos, I grabbed my camera, a tripod, and headed outside.

Was it easy? Not exactly.

Did I spend a lot of time running back and forth checking settings and timers? Absolutely.

But creating something from an idea and bringing it to life is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer.

These photos are a little reminder that sometimes the best investment you can make in your business is simply betting on yourself.
