✨ Behind the editing!

Here’s a little peek at what goes into creating one of my signature white-background equine portraits.

This image was captured for a client at the Sonoma Summer Classic, and while the final portrait looks clean and effortless, there’s quite a bit of precision that happens behind the scenes.

From framing and cropping to cleaning up the background, refining edges, balancing light and color, and making sure every detail of the horse is represented beautifully—this is where the photograph becomes fine art. background

I saw this young stallion Rey Perla Jop three years ago when he was barely 3. I photographed another of Nicole Gregor ‘s horses when I first started equine photography.

When I heard she was coming this weekend to Murieta Equestrian Center for the Golden State Dressage show I jumped at the opportunity to take photos of this stunning rising star! ⭐️
