Happy Mother’s Day!!

When Katelynn came to me with this idea for a motherhood session I literally squealed! I’ve had similar inspiration saved for the longest time and it’s an honor to bring her version to life. Getting messy in their backyard was so fun and perfectly imperfect.

When I sent the gallery Katelynn said “Crying. You captured us so perfectly, their little personalities and all the love. Even better than what I imagined, thank you thank you thank you 🥹”

Nothing is better than this! Thinking of all the moms out there today and everyday 🦋

I have lots of new friends around here so I figured what better time for a little get to know me! Thank you SO much for tagging along in my corner of the interweb.

•30, married, no kids yet, entrepreneur & self taught photographer
•fur mother to Juniper and Binx
•jax native but have also spent time in atlanta and tampa and i love traveling
•i also run a health and wellness business alongside my photography career
•catch me at the gym, pilates, or on a walk most days of the week
•the earth sign (where my virgos at!!) in me loves touching grass, basking in the sun or playing mermaids in the ocean
•i am an extroverted introvert
•i’m a tall gal 6’1 to be exact - which can be really helpful when taking your pics, I got them good angles ;)
•love a good personal development book & psycho thriller show

And most importantly…
I love this job!! I’m 5 years in now and started as a creative outlet has turned into something much deeper for me.

I’d like to think I’ve really evolved over the years…trying all types of photography…but I think I’m finally settling in to what I love most - families + maternity + newborn. I’ve especially been loving documenting families in their home or a location that is sentimental to them.

I’m always noticing. Their little hands on your leg. The way their hair moves when they twirl around. The way the sunlight shines through the window into your room. The way your body carried life.

I want to capture a feeling. The fleeting moments that turn into memories so swiftly.

I want to help you remember how it felt.

Michelle and I had been in touch for a couple weeks. I got the message that she thought it would be happening soon and they needed one last photoshoot with their boy. Her first boy. They were able to leave the vet and drive him to his favorite place even though he couldn’t play in the water like he normally would have. They stopped to get him a burger even though he didn’t want to eat it. His second to last day spent exactly where he wanted to be.

I did not know the Bell family before this day and I still cry over these pics. I cried on the way to the shoot and I cried on the way home from the shoot and I cried editing. I posted on stories the other day that I get so emotional thinking about capturing someone’s last good photo and the weight that carries to me. I guess the same goes for our fur friends too. Photos keep them alive when that’s all we have left. He would’ve been 10 today.

For Archer. I hope you’re playing in the waves up there. 🪽🐾

Hangs with the Patel fam 🍕

Enjoying a favorite meal as a family. Playing with their favorite toys. Tickle fights on the floor. Reading their favorite books at this stage.

Moments that swiftly turn into memories turned into mementos. 🎞️ 🖼️

It really can be that simple.

The Wells family at home 🤎

For sessions in your space, I’m big on simplicity.

Even if it’s just playing patty cake on the counter or having snacks or washing their hands. There is beauty in the ordinary and these moments are fleeting.

One day I hope you can look back at the photos and remember exactly how it felt.

Eeeek I cannot wait. 🥰

I’m loving this mix of digital and film from our morning together at the beach a few months ago. 🌞

Crew was locked in on me with that eye contact!! Or my big black blob camera, I should say. Newborn sessions pushing the 7-8 week mark are fun and different - they are more alert and starting to visually track/see contrast. Especially my camera in an all white studio. 😎

Some days my brain will just randomly fixate on a specific image from a session. For the past couple hours I’ve been thinking of this photo…and this session was months ago…just randomly popped in my head and then I realized I somehow hadn’t shared it to my page even though it’s one of my favorites. Can any photographers relate?? 😅😊

Anyways, let’s relive this moment again together. This is Ashley, when Lily was still in her belly, being the beautiful beach mother goddess that she is. ☀️ I asked her to soak in the moment, play with her hair. I sat down on the ground and this is what I got.
