Family photos don't have to feel awkward or stiff! Shocker, right?

I love a good documentary style, and there's a time and place for it all! But there's something so classic and timeless about a family portrait.

My posing and prompting includes gentle direction, not throwing you in front of the camera and saying "now smile!" 😂
I'm considering your height, use of color, hand placement, shoulder tension, head tilt, all while putting you in the best light possible in a beautiful setting.

Not over controlled, just purposeful: to make you look and feel your best during family photos.

Let me ask you a question: when you go to someone's house, where do you look first?

For me, it's the family photo wall. I love to look at photos of the mom and dad's wedding, of the maternity photo with the firstborn, the newborns, the extended family photo. (Yes, even if I don't know the family very well 😂 is that creepy?)

When you get photos made with me, I help you think about the longterm goal: where will these photos live in your home? What colors will you wear that will compliment your home? What frames match your home? Are you ready to build a family wall?

Then, I take everything off your plate: no overwhelm, no decision fatigue, no outsourcing to five different places. It's all done in-house from "Can you take my photos?" To "Here is your album and wall art", delivered to you.

"Match made in Heaven" sounds cliche until you see how God brought them together.

"Better together than apart" sounds crazy until you see how unstoppable they are now.

"Worth the wait" feels exhausting until it pays off and it's better than you ever dreamed.

I love how God transforms us through love. And capturing Drew and Gabrielle's brand new engagement reminded me of that 🤍

1. I do extended family sessions, or
2. If a certain amount of people is too many.

I'm here to tell you:

1. YES! I absolutely do extended family sessions. These are perfect for when you have new additions to the family, need the perfect gift, want generational photos and heirlooms, and like to get a few updates family photos as well 😉
2. And NO! The more the merrier. If you are blessed to have so many people you love in one photo, how awesome is that?! It is priceless to have that big group photo, where later you will go back and look at and remember everyone the way they are right now. And no lots of people don't intimidate me 😉
