I never had heard of an African head of state requesting a visit to the Grand Ole Opry and to meet Charlie Pride a black country singer at the time, but not yet a member of the Opry, this visit occurred in 1975 ...

Myself and local news organizations were the only folk apprised that the President of Tanzania Julius Nyerere was visiting Tennessee and the Grand Ole Opry and would meet Charlie Pride ...

There was an " if you can " attached to the assignment which was show that Charlie Pride and his music is loved 😍 by fans 😀

Today is " Indigenous People's Day " and I had the opportunity to discover and photograph the Lumbee Indian Nation of Robeson County North Carolina ...

They are noted for being of Indigenous, African , and european ancestry as well as " The Lost Colony "

TBT- The Political Season

A few snaps of the President I was afforded the opportunity to photograph on a couple of occasions before he resigned from office in 1974 after having yoyoed and played piano on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

My second opportunity to photograph former President Nixon came in the late 70's when he made his 1st public appearance in Hayden Kentucky a Republican stronghole where he began his previous campaigns

Snaps were made at the grand ole opry and in Hayden, Kentucky
