After recently shooting a similar portrait for my daughter’s 1st birthday shoot, I knew I wanted to try this simple lighting setup with my next bride. I placed my 42” glow ez softbox which was connected to my godox ad600bm directly behind Hailey. After a few test shots I was able to dial it into the correct exposure and fell in love with the results

I was filming a race this morning, and a young guy came over and started talking to me. He saw my camera and wanted to know how I started, how I got my clients, was it word of mouth? Did I advertise?

He had recently filmed his first wedding and was very proud and hoped to one day do it full time as well. I really enjoyed our conversation and I got to tell him some things that really helped me when I started 10 years ago. I remember when I dreamed of waking up and doing this full time, talking to those who were already there and doing it successfully. It’s been a few years since I left my 9-5 and as we wrapped up our conversation, it was another reminder the hard work paid off and I am very grateful to be where I am today
