A little bts personal life updates from your girl 😅🙈

Friends, overwhelmed is an understatement at this point I’m super extremely overwhelmed. Moving with a toddler while both my husband and I work in between has been so tough😅.

I finally gave myself permission today to relax though. I slept in & my son and I spent the day cuddled on the couch and outside playing in mud and painting rocks. 🥹🤍

Life alone is a blessing but to own our dream home! Just super excited to make it our homestead + photo shoot ready 😆🤍

Taking a short break from communicating just till Monday to recharge from all this 🫶

Have my first wedding of the year tomorrow! So here’s my last one from 2024!

My friend recently told me she had to listen to humans meowing to prove she wasn’t ai. 😅 CRAZY TIMES.

I promise to not use Ai to write out posts. Even though it’s hard to constantly come up with something to say and sometimes I have to save 5 + drafts of one post just because I can’t decide. I’ll always give you words straight from an actual human.

Capturing authentic moments-Let’s talk about it! ⤵️

Authenticity isn’t pushing for poses or emotions it’s capturing exactly what’s happening by simply being present and observing.

Being a fly on a wall with a smile and HUGE camera isn’t the hard part, it’s making people feel comfortable while you are standing there with a lens in their face. It’s discreetly and maybe even creepily lurking in the hallway before entering a room to get a REAL moment not a prompted one. I’ll use my most clever lie and say, just “testing” my lighting just to ensure certain moments aren’t forced but just happen organically.

Authentic moments are the ones you look back on and cry about. Yes I mix in som cute little prompts but these are shots everyone deserves to have documented on their wedding day. It definitely takes a special person to make those around you feel comfortable enough to be themselves & hopefully I’m that person for you

Probably some of the BEST people I’ve ever met. So kind thoughtful and generous 🥹🫶

The artsier shots were “accidents” and they are some of my favorite shots from this day and of all time. Overshooting does occasionally pay off. I think I delivered 1300+ photos in this wedding gallery because the day was just so full of unprompted beautiful moments.

One of my most un touched photos sessions I’ve ever posted but some of my most favorite work I’ve ever captured.

I’ve been dabbling with reducing the amount of editing I do on photos for the last year just because some shoots just don’t need it and I feel it ruins the photo when I slap my preset on it.

With these two’s wedding coming up I thought it would be fitting to share 🤍

Sincerely reminiscing over this wedding from the vintage details to the absolutely gorgeous venue and the incredibly kind Bride And Groom this day was one I’ll remember forever. 🥹

TBH sometimes it takes me Months to appreciate my work. 😅 Something I am trying to work on. As creatives I believe we are our own worst critics. But these photos are truly incredible and I did them while I was completely burnt out from the busiest season of my life & I am so proud of them and myself ❤️
