“I wish someone had told me that sooner.” 🤍
Here’s a little advice from someone who’s photographed a lot of wedding days...
✨ Build more buffer time into your timeline than you think you’ll need. The best moments happen when you’re not rushing from one thing to the next.
✨ Choose vendors you genuinely trust. When you don’t have to second guess every decision, you can actually be present and enjoy your day.
✨ Keep your details together. Rings, invitations, perfume, jewelry, shoes, vow books, and any special heirlooms in one box or bag makes detail photos so much smoother.
✨ Invest in a great wedding coordinator. I can’t say this enough. Your photographer can capture the day beautifully, but we aren’t the ones answering timeline questions, tracking down missing family members, or fixing problems behind the scenes. Having someone there to manage the details allows you (and your family) to actually enjoy every second.
✨ Leave room to breathe. A packed timeline may look great on paper, but the most memorable wedding days are the ones where couples actually have time to soak it all in. Give yourself permission to slow down and enjoy the moments instead of rushing through them.
✨ Choose a photographer whose work and personality you connect with, then trust them. The best images happen when you’re not worried about every little detail and can simply be present with the person you’re marrying.
And maybe the most important of all…
✨ Bring a second pair of shoes. Your wedding day is a marathon, not a sprint. A beautiful pair of heels might complete your look, but having something comfortable to dance in later will let you enjoy the party instead of thinking about your feet.
At the end of the day, your wedding isn’t about creating a perfect Pinterest board. It’s about marrying your favorite person and soaking in every moment. Everything else is just the beautiful backdrop. 🤍
