THE SUMMER SHE TURNED SULLIVAN 🐚💍🩵

There are some stories that stay with you forever, and this one will always be one of my favorites to tell.

Maybe it’s because I had a front-row seat to every chapter. I watched the prayers, the waiting, the laughter, the heartbreaks, the growth, and then… I watched God write a love story that was worth every second.

Courtney, we’ve dreamed about days like this since we were little girls. We imagined what our futures would look like, who we’d become, and who we’d spend forever with. If our younger selves could see us now, I think they’d be absolutely beaming.

And then there’s Spencer. It’s impossible to spend even a few minutes around him and not see what an incredible man he is. The way he loves Courtney is steady, intentional, selfless, and genuine. He has a way of making everyone around him feel cared for, and there is no doubt in my mind that she found someone who will choose her every single day. Watching the two of you together makes it so easy to believe that some people are simply meant to find each other.

As her best friend, this day meant everything to me. But as her photographer, I had to step outside of my emotions for a little while and do the job I’d been trusted with!! To preserve these moments exactly as they happened. It’s a funny balance: your heart wants to cry happy tears, but your hands have a camera in them and your mind is focused on making sure these memories last forever.

And that’s one of the greatest gifts this job has given me.

There is nothing more humbling or fulfilling than being invited into people’s biggest moments and trusted to turn them into memories they can hold onto for a lifetime. I never take that responsibility for granted. I truly love what I do, and getting to tell stories like this one reminds me why.

Congratulations, you two. Thank you for letting me witness your story. Not only from the very beginning as a best friend, but from behind my lens, too. What an honor it has been. 🤍
