Proud to shoot this cover with showcasing a fellow military family, on the year America turns 250.

They know what it costs: the moves, the goodbyes, never quite unpacking, and making new friends in new places. This cover is my last for MBP as my family is currently on our way overseas.

This proposal was so memorable, made even more special by the relationship I built with Akash and Yashodhara along the way.

A week before, Akash flew in with a friend to help me scout the perfect spot in Monterey. Driving around together, I got to know his story, a long distance relationship with Yashodhara that spanned Austria and Austin, nearly a year apart. He wanted every detail perfect.

Moments like this remind me why I do this work. It’s never just about showing up for the shoot. It’s the trust built long before the camera comes out.

Inspired by the work I saw last night and feeling the need to share more of the things I do that aren’t people- or client-focused, and more of my art.

When chasing algorithms, it’s easy to get lost in the niche, but sometimes I want to share the things that speak to me and the beauty I find along the way.

Celebrating four years through the seasons of this little life we’ve built.

In our current season of parenting we both forgot our anniversary, both scheduled work, and agreed this was not the year for grand celebrations. As we have navigated different seasons, this one is my favorite. Parenting looks good on us (except for after 10 PM.)

So here’s to us, for surviving the trenches, and for being a constant in these seasons together. Up next: Life in Madrid
