Ah the bittersweet feeling of wanting to stop time and feeling excited for everything to come. My baby is TWO! I think Iā€™ll miss the early days for the rest of my life. Every experience Iā€™ve had as a mother has made me more passionate and fall even deeper in love with the work I get to do as a motherhood photographer. āœØ It really goes by so fast.

As a maternity photographer in the PNW I photograph outdoor sessions all year round. I honestly do NOT look at the weather until the day or so before and usually wonā€™t reschedule a session until I can see the hour by hour. Even on an over cast evening we can surround you with vibrant beauty colors and landscapes to celebrate your pregnancy. Iā€™m often asked when the best time to capture a newborn session is. After years of being welcomed into families homes during the postpartum season I strongly recommend between 3-4 weeks. Youā€™ve had some time for significant healing, bonding, feeding adjustments and even start seeing real smiles. Newborn sessions can take place any time in the first 3 months after birth and 3-4 weeks seems to be the sweet spot.
