I’ve been trying to figure out what to say because there really just aren’t words for what this sweet family is going through right now. 😭❤️

My friend Candice’s husband, Michael, was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and in what feels like the blink of an eye, their entire lives have been completely turned upside down.

They have two young kiddos that Candice stays home with, and now on top of being mama and taking care of their babies, she’s also trying to be there for Michael and take care of him while he fights this battle and goes through some really aggressive treatments.

And as if all of that isn’t already more than enough for one family to handle, they recently moved here away from their family, friends, and basically their entire support system. They’re trying to navigate something absolutely terrifying while being hundreds of miles away from so many of the people they would normally lean on.

I genuinely cannot imagine being in their shoes. One day you’re just living your normal life, raising your babies and making plans for your future, and the next you’re hearing words that completely change everything.

Right now, Candice shouldn’t have to worry about anything other than being there for her husband, taking care of their babies, and getting their family through this. Bills, groceries, meals, travel, and all of the other everyday expenses don’t just stop when something like this happens, though.

✨ A Little Update from Perspectives by Pamela ✨

If you've noticed I've been a little MIA lately, you're not imagining things! This second pregnancy has definitely been keeping me on my toes and taking a lot more out of me than I expected. 🤍

That being said, I am excited to spend the summer doing as many sessions as my schedule allows! I absolutely love capturing your families, milestones, and special moments, and I can't wait to get back behind the camera more consistently.

As many of you know, I'm expecting another little boy and am due in late November. Because of that, I will be starting my maternity leave after the wedding I'm photographing at the beginning of September. While I don't have an exact return date planned yet, I fully intend to begin taking on sessions again as soon as I find my rhythm as a stay-at-home mama to two wonderful little boys. 💙💙

Over the next few days, I'll be sharing images from sessions I've photographed over the last couple of months to showcase some recent work and catch everyone up on what I've been creating behind the scenes!
