Being a wedding photographer means capturing raw, unfiltered moments, even when the temperature is pushing its limits. Looking back at this mid summer wedding, we remember standing under the scorching sun, feeling the intense heat and thinking for a split second, “Are we about to faint right here?”

But then you look through the lens. You see the way they look at each other, exchanging vows with pure devotion. You witness genuine love in action, and suddenly, you forget all about the heat. That passion and joy are what keep us pushing through every single moment.

From watching the kids run free through the open fields, a beautiful reminder of what those endless summers felt like when we were little, to a night filled with laughter, wild dancing, and endless cheers under the night sky… this day was nothing short of magic.

H&N’s Colorado Elopement Day 🏔️ Part One

It all started with a little planning… and, honestly, not a lot of time. With H&N’s busy schedules, finding the perfect location wasn’t easy. After a couple of phone calls, endless messages, sharing ideas, and going back and forth, we finally nailed the spot. Since this was their first time hiking, we wanted something that felt adventurous but still comfortable, a trail that would take about two hours round trip, with a beautiful view waiting at the end for them to exchange their promises.

And so, the adventure began. 🌲🥾

As we walked deeper into the woods, something amazing started to happen. With every step, the scenery became more beautiful. The trees seemed to open up little by little, revealing more and more of Colorado’s breathtaking landscape.

We were hoping to catch that dreamy Colorado sunset for their vows… but the weather had a different plan. The day became gloomy, the sky was covered in clouds, and the sunset we had imagined never really showed up.

But you know what?

Their love became the light of the day. Standing there together, surrounded by the mountains and wilderness, the cloudy sky suddenly didn't matter. The hike, the planning, the weather, everything became part of their story.

What started with an idea, few phone calls and countless messages turned into a beautiful adventure, an unforgettable experience, and a day filled with love, laughter, and promises.

What a wonderful day. What a wonderful beginning. 🏔️✨

And this was only the beginning in their love journey together.

p/s: The adventure on the way back… 😂🌲 It was getting dark when we noticed something moving in the bushes. As we got closer, whatever it was suddenly rushed out and jumped into the water! 😳

A bear? An animal? Who knows… because we were definitely too chicken to flash our lights and find out! 😂

It was too dark to keep hiking quickly, so we stopped, caught our breath, and encouraged each other: “We’re almost there!”

We took one more step…

And boom!!! we were already in the parking lot! 😂😂

Definitely an adventure we’ll never forget.

Under early fall trees starting to show their colors, H and S tied the knot in the best way possible. Set right by the river, the wedding was filled with so much love, high energy, and a roller coaster of laughter from start to finish.

H is naturally energetic, hilarious, and completely head over heels for S and of course S matches his fun energy perfectly. they were such a joy to work with! Everything went so smoothly, and the party kept going all the way to the very last dance.

To H&S! Thank you so much for having us on your big day! Wishing you guys endless years together, never lose that amazing spark! 😊😊😊
