Seven years. 🥹🖤

I genuinely cannot believe I get to say that Holly D. Bo***ir is turning SEVEN.

And obviously, we have to celebrate.

On Saturday, October 3rd from 12–3 PM, I’m opening up the studio for a FREE 7-Year Anniversary Open House... and you’re invited 🫶🏻

Come whenever you want, stay for a little bit or hang out with us all afternoon. We’ll have some amazing vendors joining us, including a tattoo artist + tarot reader, and I have more fun things to share as we get closer.

But this celebration is about more than an anniversary.

This year, so many incredible women participated in my She Chooses Herself Project, and their black & white portraits will be on display throughout the studio. So we’re celebrating seven years of Holly D. Bo***ir, but we’re also celebrating every woman who decided to choose herself this year. 🖤

I had a consult call this week I can't stop thinking about. She told me I was the first of seven photographers she had lined up to talk to, and when I went over pricing… I could hear the pause on the other end.

And I get it. Truly.

Nothing is cheap anymore. I just filled up my tank the other day for $90 🤪 Life is expensive right now! And deciding where to put your money matters more than ever.

So I never take it personally when someone has sticker shock.

But I do feel a responsibility to be honest about what you’re investing in with a bo***ir session.

This isn’t just showing up and taking photos. It’s knowing how to guide you when you feel awkward, how to pose your body in a way that actually flatters you, how to highlight what you love and gently work around what you don’t. It’s creating an environment where you feel safe enough to let your guard down.

That comes from years of experience, education, and working with hundreds of women... not guessing or just winging it.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about pictures. It’s about how you see yourself when it’s all said and done.

And if you’re going to spend your hard-earned money on something like this, you deserve to do it with someone who knows what they’re doing and genuinely cares about the outcome, not just checking you off as another session on the calendar.

There’s space for different budgets. There always will be.

One thing I always want to remind women before their session…

You do not have to wear the teeny tiny lingerie if that’s not you. 🤍

I want you comfortable. I want you feeling like you. That might be an oversized sweater, a bodysuit, a sheet set, your husband’s button down, jeans, a tank top, a cozy cardigan, or full glam lingerie. There is no “right” way to do bo***ir here.

The most beautiful images always happen when you stop trying to fit some Pinterest version of sexy and just let yourself exist as you are. That’s my job! To guide you, hype you up, and create something that feels authentic to YOU. 💞

Wanna know something? Every part of this was guided.

From the way her arm is lifted—to open up her torso and create that soft stretch through her body…
to how her legs are angled—so we get shape without forcing anything unnatural…
to the way her head is turned—so the light falls exactly where I want it.

Even the way she’s holding the sheet isn’t random. It adds movement and tension in the sheet to help create a real moment, and just enough coverage to keep it teasing without hiding her.

And the lighting? Also intentional. I placed it to skim across her body instead of hitting her straight on so it highlights her curves, creates depth, and keeps everything feeling moody and dimensional instead of flat.

Nothing about this is accidental.

This is what I mean when I say you don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to know your angles.
You don’t need to “practice.”
