Hey everyone! 🤍 We just wanted to check in and share something that's been on our hearts.
Nothing is changing at Just As You Are Photography. We're still shooting, still editing, still answering messages and still working hard to get your galleries back to you. But we also wanted to be transparent about something.
There are some amazing full-time photographers who can turn around galleries incredibly quickly, and we know sometimes it's hard not to compare timelines. This past weekend, we were talking with another photographer who mentioned how much they spend outsourcing their editing — and it really reminded us why we've chosen to do things differently.
When you choose Just As You Are Photography, you're not just hiring us to take pictures.
We want to capture a moment and somehow bring the feeling of that moment back through an image. And to us, that's not something we can outsource.
The person editing your photograph was there.
We heard the laughter. We saw the tears. We watched your husband look at you walking down the aisle. We watched your babies being completely themselves. We experienced the chaos, the love, the nerves and all those little moments in between.
We don't want to send those memories to someone sitting behind a computer who wasn't there and simply pay them to edit them.
We want to do it.
Every gallery is looked through by us. We crop, straighten, adjust, retouch and work through your images individually because we want your finished gallery to feel like you.
So please have a little patience with us as we work through these albums. 🤍
Know that your photographs aren't sitting somewhere forgotten. They're being worked on, loved on and even prayed over. We're doing everything we can to get them back to you in a timely manner without sacrificing the reason we started doing this in the first place.
And we promise — we're not just kicking back while you're waiting. 😂 We're editing whenever we can!
