I ran across a new to me artist the other day named Davey Allen he’s covering all this amazing 90’s and 200’s grunge / rock that I love and has a couple of incredible original songs as well like his just released Ghost Town. He’s one of the few people I’ve heard that really does justice to Layne Staley’s vocals. This is me hoping he’ll jump back into that stairwell he records in sometimes and releases Rooster.

I’ve sat with this picture for a few years now, never quite sure what to do with it. It was a February day in Dallas, temperature in the low 40’s with 20-30 mph winds and occasional light rain. When I first saw him I didn’t recognize there was a person until I saw his feet move. I don’t do a lot of street photography but there was a feeling and story here I thought was worth capturing.
