Before they are in your arms there is so much waiting.

Waiting for the positive line.
Waiting to hear their heartbeat.
Waiting to see them on ultrasound.
Waiting to go into to labor.
Waiting to hear that first cry.
Waiting to see whose eyes they have.
Waiting to finally hold the baby you’ve imagined for so long.

And then somehow, the waiting becomes this.

A tiny person in your arms.
The little details you never want to forget.
The moments you wish you could freeze in time.

Because someday, you’ll look back and realize just how quickly the waiting became a memory.

Life moves so fast. Truly.

They are onto a new stage before you've said goodbye to the last.

Can I tell you the truth? I haven't been good at keeping up on my own professional images with my kids and I'm living in major regret. Major!

Please don't be like me, let me help you remember each stage. Let me help you hold onto each version of them!

People probably don’t know my whole story or yours.

The things we've been through.
The kids who need you.
The endless to do list.
The days you feel completely stretched thin and not sure how it will all get done.

They just see you showing up.

And maybe that’s the thing.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to keep going.

You can be exhausted and still laugh.
Overwhelmed and still hopeful.
Carrying a lot and still make something beautiful.

Some days it is too much for one person.

But I keep showing up. And I see you doing it too!

Not because it’s easy.
Not because I have it together (like at all)

I love my kids.
I love what I’m building.
I want moms to feel seen, supported and beautiful.

And to the people who have been here through all the imperfect parts, extended grace, love and understand that I’m human.

Thank you.
It means everything!

Perhaps one the most unspoken hardest parts of motherhood is something we don't notice until it's gone.

One day suddenly you don't remember the last time they asked you to pick them up, or touched your face as they fell asleep.

The quiet way these stages disappear without a proper goodbye makes me ache.

But maybe that's why we take pictures. Just to remember the versions we didn't know we were saying goodbye to.
