Last week, a chemist, a director, a photographer, and two geologists-turned-farmers assembled beneath a summer thunderstorm to shoot for NECi Superior Enzymes, a real-life laboratory operating out of Lake Linden!

In the hoophouse we utilized NECi’s nitrate detection test for soil. The data supported Drew’s theory that something was disrupting nutrient delivery in a section of cucumbers, likely a clog in the irrigation pump. Smart methods like this let Ghost House Farm keep bringing reliably awesome, nutritious produce to the broader community!

To see an enzyme and test kit manufactured locally (and ecologically - using no heavy metals, unlike NECi’s global competitors) assist in local agriculture was pretty special for all of us.
