hey, long time no see ☕🐾
hope everyone stayed warm (and caffeinated) through the holidays. it’s been a quiet little season over here. part winter slowdown, part rebranding growing pains. turns out changing my name to Wink & Wag dropped me straight to the last page of search results thanks to alphabetical order 🙃

but we’re still here, still cozy, still putting dogs in themed bandanas because obviously. new year, same chaos, same love for photographing your pets (iced latte accessories included) 💛

Say cheese… Chili Cheese Fries, that is! 🐶📸
This one-of-a-kind girl just celebrated her very first Gotcha Day, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to capture it. When Chili first came home, she was shy and cautious and generally unsure of her new world. But with so much love, patience, and consistency from her amazing humans, she’s bloomed into the happiest, quirkiest little soul. 🌼
Now she greets every day with bright eyes and a wag that could melt anyone’s heart. Her confidence shines through in every photo, every little head tilt, every joyful bounce.
Here’s to a year of growth, trust, and tail wags; and to the humans who believed in her every step of the way. 💛

So… today I stepped out of my comfort zone as a pet photographer and into the world of… people photography. 👀 My friend asked me to take her sister’s engagement photos, and let me just say: wow, posing humans is a whole different species of challenge.

With pets, I can just say “sit, stay, roll over” and bribe them with a treat. With people? Turns out tossing a tennis ball or squeaking a toy doesn’t quite have the same effect (though I did heavily consider it). 😂 Trying to figure out what to do with hands, where to look, how to not blink… let’s just say my respect for human photographers has skyrocketed.

That said, I think we ended up with some pretty sweet shots, even if I almost asked them to “shake” a few times. Congrats to the happy couple 💍 but I’ll definitely be sticking to my true calling: photographing the furry, four-legged kind who don’t mind me making weird noises to get their attention. 🐾📸

Allie & Scooter 🐾 the sibling duo you didn’t know you needed to see today 💛💙

These two are biological brother and sister, but they haven’t always lived together. Allie’s been with her family since puppyhood, while Scooter joined the pack just about a year ago after his previous owner passed. He deals with some anxiety, but you wouldn’t know it from our session! He absolutely crushed it!💪

Their humans? 10/10 amazing. The amount of bows and bandanas these dogs own is chef’s kiss 🎀 I LOVE pet parents who go as all-out as I do. We had so much fun capturing sweet moments and silly smiles.

When I’m not photographing your adorable pets, I’m out scouting new spots, hiking with my camera slung over one shoulder and my dogs as willing (and very wiggly) models 🐶🌿💪

It’s time-consuming, a little exhausting, and often muddy... but it’s so worth it to create beautiful, lasting memories for families who love their pets like I do 🐾💛
