Couldn’t have asked for a better time to go here. A random snow storm rolled in and broke just over the canyon; creating a more dramatic scene. Got a little chilly, but definitely worth it! ✨ ❄️

Started at crowley lake; got a mile into the hike and it started snowing on us. So unfortunately did not make it to the Columns. But it was for the best, mango would not have appreciated an 8 mile hike while getting snowed on. Made the drive to Benton Hot Springs, but the lighting was bad and my favorite “ghost town” buildings from the area were dilapidated behind being photogenic now. Sooooo jumped back in the car and drove to hit creek geologic sight. The lighting was absolutely spectacular. Could see steam coming out of the geo thermal vents due to the snow/temperature. Now time to relax and rehydrate before the last day tomorrow. ✨

Oooh to be back in the mountains right now. In the midst of school, nose in the books; longing for crisp air, trees, mountains, and nature. Motivation.

Nature appreciation day. Stuck studying, so here’s an appreciation post of nature and last spring when I went super bloom hunting in Anza Borrego. The weather very much cooperated that day. The lighting and drama the clouds provided really added to the aesthetic of the images I was able to capture.
