This one hit a little closer to home.

Meet my sweet nephew. 🤍

I’ve photographed so many newborns over the years, but there is something really tender about having your own family in front of your camera. Watching someone you love step into parenthood. Holding a baby who already has your whole heart. Freezing the tiny details you know will change before anyone is ready.

These are the moments that remind me why newborn photography matters so much.

Because babies don’t stay this small.
Because the beginning is such a blur.
Because one day, these images will tell the story of just how loved he was from the very start.

Some seniors start as clients… but Ashlyn’s story with us started long before senior pictures. 🤍

Ashlyn was once a student in Leda’s 6th grade math class. Then somewhere along the way, she became our babysitter for house church… and before we knew it, she became one of those people who just naturally became part of our lives.

She has poured into our kids, loved them so well, shown up with kindness, patience, and joy, and become someone our family is truly grateful for.

And now here she is — all grown up, DBU bound, and stepping into the next chapter God has for her.

Ashlyn, your love for Jesus radiates through you. It’s in the way you serve, the way you love, the way you carry yourself, and the way you make people feel seen and cared for. You are steady, genuine, beautiful inside and out, and so easy to cheer for.

Getting to photograph this season of your life feels extra special because we haven’t just watched you become a senior… we’ve watched you grow into the incredible young woman you are.

We are so proud of you. So thankful for you. And so excited to see all the ways the Lord uses your heart, your gifts, and your light in this next season.

I don’t even know how to put into words how excited we are for this year.

Since the moment we started talking to these girls, looking through applications, reading their answers, seeing their personalities shine through… we just knew this team was going to be something special. And now that it’s finally official, it already feels like the beginning of the sweetest season.

Girls —
we hope you know this was never just about pretty pictures to us.

Yes, we’ll take the photos.
We’ll plan the outfits.
We’ll chase the golden light.
We’ll create the fun shoots and all the exciting things we have planned…

But more than anything, we want this year to feel meaningful.

We want you to feel known here.
Safe here.
Celebrated here.

We want this to be a place where friendships grow, confidence grows, and memories are made that you’ll look back on years from now and smile about.

We cannot wait to learn who each of you are — what makes you laugh, what you’re passionate about, what matters to you, what this season of life looks like for you.
