Motherās Day. How many would agree we deserve one of these days once a season, at least? š¤Ŗ
But really, thereās no way to take just one day to sum up all the appreciation thatās there for moms. The journey is different for everyone, and thatās okay. From the pregnancy taking so much from us, the sacrifice and risk of labor and delivery. From the ivf treatmenets and endless praying. From putting so much on the line to listen to the calling of fostering whether it be for the season you were meant to or for taking that leap of adopting, offering a forever. No matter what your journey to motherhood looks like, youāre incredible. Countless interrupted nights of sleep, crying right along with the baby, to chaotic era of toddlerhood where you feel guilty for counting down the minutes to sunset or night fall but still laughing at their silliness through it all wondering how you got so luckyā to showing up to all the sports games, recitals, musicals, plays, birthday parties, school events. The play dates even when your social battery is low for the sake of community for both your kids and yourself. Walking through the doors of school hand in hand or waving goodbye in the car rider line. The feeling of being spread so thin and feeling like youāre failing, worried about so much, but STILL showing up and putting in the work. The quick reactions followed by self reflection and necessary apologies after (crucial). The putting your best foot forward no matter whatās going on in your life for the sake of your child(ren), the being a mom even when you feel so low whether it be mentally/emotionally or if youāre as sick as everā the world doesnāt stop for us because our world happens to be our children. The choosing grace and happiness even in hard times and moments. The staying positive for your children because they need that. Itās important to not rob their innocenceā always putting them first. Often times we put ourselves on the back burner because thatās what we are supposed to do. Itās their time. We had ours and we will have it again, but for now, motherhood is our ministry and itās the greatest thing weāve ever done and will ever do. Cheers to you, you deserve it! š«¶š¼
