Proposal season is here and I honestly can't get enough of Justin and Karleen's gorgeous The Ringling proposal!

When Justin reached out, he told me, “She’s not a Disney, restaurant, or middle-of-the-street proposal kind of woman.” So we planned something beautiful at The Ringling in Sarasota.

They walked the grounds and ended up in the center of Mable Ringling’s Rose Garden, where Justin got down on one knee in the gazebo. Her family was hidden in the banyan trees the whole time, and they came out right after she said yes!

Then we spent the rest of the session exploring the Ca’ d’Zan terrace, Sarasota Bay views and the gorgeous pink arcades of the Museum of Art.

Connor had a dinner date planned at Oystercatchers Restaurant to celebrate their anniversary, and as far as Dorothy knew, that was the whole plan. 🌴

Before dinner, he suggested a quick walk out on the dock. The sun was setting, the palms were swaying in the wind… and then Connor got down on one knee. 💍

Connor, you nailed it. Dorothy, welcome to the engaged life! Happy anniversary, you two. Here’s to many more. 🥂

Here’s to Friday friends! We started this week the best way possible, with Nicole and David’s wedding on Monday at Del Favero Oasis.

It was an intimate day in all the right ways. Their kids and family gathered close under that beautiful old oak as they said “I do.” Then the celebration moved to cannolis, cake, and a ch*****ne toast. (That “Holy Cannoli” sign might be my favorite detail of the day.)

And these flowers! Soft purples, blues, and wildflowers against all that lush greenery, still fresh from the morning rain. Every corner looked gorgeous.

Nicole and David, thank you for letting us be part of your day. Here’s to a lifetime of sweet moments together. 💙 💜

Today’s the day! 🤍

Before Kori and Nick say “I do” this afternoon, I had to look back at where this part of their journey began: a quiet stretch of Gulf Coast sand, the rocks behind them, and Nick down on one knee while Kori stared at that ring in total disbelief.

I was hiding nearby for that moment, and today they flew me all the way to Ohio to photograph their wedding at Gervasi. I don’t take that lightly. When a couple trusts you with the start of their story and then brings you 1,000 miles from home to capture the next chapter, it means something. ❤️

That’s my favorite part of this work. You don’t have to choose between the photographer who already knows you and the place you’ve always pictured getting married. I’ll come to you.
