This past year, I have been teaching a photography class at Tampa Covenant Homeschoolers. This was my first year teaching and the goal for my students was for them to learn composition rules, elements of design, History of Photography, Aperture Priority, Shutter Speed Priority, Program & Manual Mode.

They all prefer Manual Mode which was my goal. I’m so incredibly proud of them. It’s been a joy to watch them challenge themselves and grow.

I had to brag on my students for a moment. Day 1, I told them that their only competition is themselves. I can’t wait to continue seeing what they create.

I really wish I could continue teaching in the fall at this location but I may have to do another location based on my kids needs. I love this so much!

Do you have an upper middle school student or high school student who is interested in photography? I’d love to connect and hopefully offer another class in the fall.
