Did you know that I teach an Introduction to Photography class to 8th-12th graders! This is my 3rd year doing it and it has been so rewarding. I love how my kids come in not knowing how to shoot manual and by the end of the year they are shooting manual confidently. We get to work with nonprofits, art shows, and theater groups. My class is Step Up approved. I'd love to have your child in my class. I have a few spots open. Classes start August 18, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., in the Tampa/North Carrollwood area.

My students were photographer volunteers for . Gabriella, Isabella, and Caiden! You guys did so well! Proud of you! Can’t wait to see what you captured. I got a little peek when they showed me settings. I hope you had fun! I hope you saw how easy it is to just connect with people. I hope your curiosity continues to challenge you! This past year, I have been teaching a photography class at Tampa Covenant Homeschoolers. This was my first year teaching and the goal for my students was for them to learn composition rules, elements of design, History of Photography, Aperture Priority, Shutter Speed Priority, Program & Manual Mode.

They all prefer Manual Mode which was my goal. I’m so incredibly proud of them. It’s been a joy to watch them challenge themselves and grow.

I had to brag on my students for a moment. Day 1, I told them that their only competition is themselves. I can’t wait to continue seeing what they create.

I really wish I could continue teaching in the fall at this location but I may have to do another location based on my kids needs. I love this so much!

Do you have an upper middle school student or high school student who is interested in photography? I’d love to connect and hopefully offer another class in the fall.
