Photographer based in central MA specializing in newborn, child, and family portraits. Summer is my favorite season, sunny is my favorite day.

I am Aimee: wife to a wonderful husband, mom to two children who are constantly making my heart flutter, and photographer-- chaser of sweet moments, and of beautiful light. I love letting my kids get dirty outside, and I love planning adventures to new places. When you meet me, you’ll notice that I’m quiet and friendly. Kiddos love me for getting down on their level and chatting about silly things

. I guess that I can be somewhat awkward, because my loved ones affectionately call me Awkward Aimee-- but this usually helps to get true smiles and real laughs during family sessions! I am a kind soul with a silly personality. Becoming a parent has made me appreciate the small things in life-- the moments that often are forgotten, but are indeed the most important. The fleeting feeling you get from unprompted cheek kisses or spontaneous laughter are deeply important to me, and are what I strive to capture for my clients. Because those are the pictures you will come back to time and time again. Those are the pictures that make you FEEL instead of simply seeing.

Summer is my very favorite season, by far. I will forever choose being sweaty over being cold, rain over snow, beaching over skiing. My older two kids start school tomorrow, which signifies the unofficial end of summer, and I’m not ready to let go of this season! Despite the fact that we have three kids, two full time jobs, and zero childcare all summer, the warmth just fuels my soul and it’s never enough. Summer, you were filled with so much adventure, sand, family, and friends— I love you, please don’t go!

Important note about photo outfits!!!

Oftentimes people are very stressed about making sure that everyone’s outfit stays pristine during photos. Y’all, please, embrace the spill, the dirt, the grass stains, the drool. This picture tells SO MUCH MORE of a story than if we hurriedly changed him into dry clothes and didn’t let him dig in to a peach. This is so much more authentic, and in my opinion, way more adorable. I want to make your pictures feel like a beautiful mess of real life, and we are going to miss those moments if we keep stopping to fix things that deserve to be memorialized anyhow.

The key to natural-feeling family photos? Prompts, not poses. General direction encouraging movement and interaction rather than everyone frozen in their spot. Goats help too.

If you scroll back a couple posts to the last outdoor family session I posted, both of them are in the same location with the same number of people in the family. This is such a great example of how every session is different, even when certain aspects match others. A different day, different wander, different weather, a different family with their own personal connection. The same photographer making sure that your photos turn out unique to you 😘

Hey folks, my fall calendar is OPEN. Seeing my images in print in the inaugural issue of MTHR magazine is making me feel all sorts of good feelings. A full spread and then another photo later on— what an honor to be featured among so many inspiring images. Perfect family photos. And to clarify, perfect does not mean no hair out of place, or everyone’s ’good side’, or a perfectly curated background. Perfect means the image captures who you are, it means it makes you feel something, it means the photos bring you right back to that moment. A ‘perfectly’ cheesed photo does not make you feel much. But authentic photos full of whimsy and love? THOSE will make you stop and think about just how wonderfully full your life truly is.
