Went for a morning stroll today out to the end of the pier and couldn’t resist shooting an iPhone photo of the Ludington North Breakwater Light reflecting onto the pier with a fisherman as a bonus. I count my blessings everyday that I get to live and work in such a majestic place! - Brad ♥️

Here are my four best images from my Nikon D850 of the shelf cloud and storm as it rolled in over Ludington’s harbor tonight (6-10-2026). It was a thrilling experience and the drama in the clouds was exhilarating to witness. We got soaked, but it was so worth it! All shot off a tripod with a 24-70mm lens. Chasing storm light and clouds is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world. Tonight was World Class. We shot on the rocks at the water’s edge at the end of the North Inner Pier at the green light. We shot as the shelf cloud came over the North Breakwater Light and then as it came over our head. The most dramatic light was after the shelf cloud dropped hundreds of little fingers down that looked like mini water spouts as they went over the Coast Guard Station and Crosswinds. This video is once the rain started pouring and the wind picked up and it was time to run back to the truck for shelter.
