From a surprise proposal on the beach to a surprise celebration overlooking the bay. 🥂✨

After Patrick proposed to Elizabeth at Crystal Cove, the celebration continued at Marriott Bayview Newport Beach, where their family and friends were waiting for them on the venue’s beautiful outdoor courtyard overlooking the bay.

With the water as the backdrop, the courtyard was the perfect setting for an intimate engagement party — filled with ch*****ne, laughter, hugs, and plenty of happy tears.

I loved capturing everything from the little details to the big reactions as they celebrated this next chapter together.

Backyard weddings will always have a special place in my heart. 🤍

This one was extra meaningful because it was for a close friend, surrounded by the people who matter most, right in their own backyard. No massive venue, no over-the-top production—just love, intention, and a space that already held so many memories.

One of the biggest myths about weddings is that you *have* to spend thousands on a venue to make the day beautiful. The truth? Some of the most emotional, intimate weddings I’ve ever photographed have happened at home. When you strip things back and focus on what really matters, the moments become even more meaningful.

A backyard, a few thoughtful details, and the people you love can create something truly unforgettable.
