What a pleasant surprise this afternoon! While out for a walk in my neighborhood, I looked up to see FedEx’s MD-11F “Christina” (N607FE) flying right overhead on a test flight from Los Angeles back to Los Angeles.

This aircraft had been parked at LAX since November 6, 2025, so it was exciting to catch it back in the air. Watching this classic tri-jet fly the pattern, make its base turn, and line up for final approach right over my neighborhood was an incredible sight. Not every day you get to see a 33-year-old MD-11 freighter soaring overhead!
