Evening Arwen: Custom Costumes and Corsets

Evening Arwen: Custom Costumes and Corsets Evening Arwen Costumes is here to help you bring your dream costume to life.

If there was one thing I'd like to come across from my business that I think sometimes gets lost in translation is that I am a business of one working in a field that I love. As of yet my products are not mass produced and I don't have workers or professional models and photographers. My fiance takes my photos and built my website, my friends and I model the costumes and I do everything else from

answering emails to driving around to find fabric to making the pattern, cutting out the material, creating the garment and shipping it off. The few times that I have employed someone to help out has been friends who are also passionate about costumes. I make costumes because I enjoy them and I enjoy what I do and that tends to come across in my attention to detail of the costume, the way that I communicate with my customers and in some of my original and inspired by deisngs.

Labyrinth masquerade Ball 2026 has come and gone. It was a bit different for me this year as circumstances happened that meant it was just me and my little. But we had a blast, especially on the second night. I was officially holder of trinkets as she was the star of the ball with how many people loved and stopped her as Princess Peach. I didn’t have the creative bandwidth to make new costumes for me so I wore some oldies but goodies lol. There were some truly amazing costumes this year as always but the best part was seeing how much my little princess adores this event and how much joy and wonder it brings to her eyes. She loves sharing her trinkets with everyone there and loves how much everyone interacts with her. Even if she gets a bit overwhelmed and shy at times. 😁 Until next year The Labyrinth Masquerade Ball

Just some Astarion while I panic make more cosplays. I really want to get another good photoshoot in of all of us. Especially with some of the new Astarion cosplay I’m working on. I think he’s got at least a few more years in him of dressing as Astarion. 𝑷𝑰𝑿𝑰𝑬 𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑷𝑯𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑷𝑯𝒀 did these stunning photos and I can’t wait to work with her again.

“I’m looking for Zuse.”
These cosplays of ours from Tron: Legacy is for all those saying my husband has a Michael Sheen quality about him. This is true. 🤣 Tron: Legacy was a movie I was obsessed over for a long time. Still am. I haven’t seen the latest Tron even though I’ve heard it’s pretty good. Just not the direct sequel I was hoping for. These cosplays are due for a fixing as I had the lights for mine as well but never got the chance to rig it. Now I want to remake them completely and light them up proper. Although Siren Gem is going to be a lot harder now that my natural hair is no longer blonde. I’ll find a way though.

Just some Dragon Age Rook cosplay to share with a few more photos hiding in the video. Can’t wait to bring her back out for labyrinth ball in a few weeks! Probably one of my favorite cosplays I’ve worn. Though not the easiest. Videography by Scotty and photographer is Lillian Liu

Here’s some fantasy cosplay photos I haven’t shared for a while. I had this mushroom hat I made for a Toad cosplay and repurposed it for this pretty woodland fae mushroom costume. I had just started losing weight too so I was feeling pretty good with wearing tighter dresses again and loved how this looked on me as well. This is part of my “I’m in the middle of crafting panic” so my posting is going to be a little scattered. But these photos didn’t receive nearly as much attention as they should have since they’re amazing so I’m posting them. Photography by the amazing 𝑷𝑰𝑿𝑰𝑬 𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑷𝑯𝑶𝑻𝑶𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑷𝑯𝒀

The musings of a cosplayer that has to much sewing to do and not enough time to do it but will still find a way to make it work. Does anyone else have a cosplay vibe? That voice in your head that yells “I’m going to make that!!!!” Before the character even says their first line. The motivation it gives you to make all the random cosplays but keep putting that one cosplay you’ve wanted to do back on the back burner and instead continue with what you naturally gravitate towards? Everytime I see the beautiful fantasy fairy costumes people make and wear I always want to do my own and tell myself next time. And yet somehow I just can’t seem to make that gown where I feel like the leading lady everyone is vying over. And as you get older it becomes harder to fit into that role so the dream gets a little farther. But I still plan on one day making some pretty floaty princess gowns that will (hopefully) not be all black. 😂 What’s your cosplay you’ve always wanted to do but just doesn’t happen because it feels like it clashes with your vibe to much? Just a warrior elf looking to stir up some trouble. These cosplay photos from the fantasy retreat I went on by Propelthemoon are still some of my favorites. Overly b***y and all. 😂 Really going to need to adjust the settings on that bra hahaha. Sharing these again for now because I spent the day shopping for fabric at Mood Fabrics | Fabric & Sewing and then stopping by a shop to pick up a new job I’ll be working on while trying to make 4 new costumes for LOJ. It’s fiiiiiinnnneeeeee🫠

I am not worthy of the cosplay competition Gods!! (Bows down repeatedly) I tried competing in costume contests when I first started out and I got over it real quick. There were just to many elements that made it feel personal to me and I also just couldn’t compete against the amazing folks who somehow find the time to do it all. Maybe most of them don’t have kids? To be fair I stopped trying to compete before I even had kids lol but I know for sure I wouldn’t even dare try to now. My patience is always at zero atm so if it’s going to take me over a year to make a cosplay it’s probably not going to happen. I can make my own patterns if I must but I hate it and don’t want to spend valuable time fighting with something I can find and alter for what I need. It also means I support small business pattern makers so to me it’s a win win. There’s just to many things about competitions that spike my anxiety and turn something fun into something awful. So I accepted that competitions weren’t for me and that was ok. It doesn’t mean I don’t have the skill for them, it just means they’re not for me. And with how much drama I’ve seen revolve around the competition world I hope others who find themselves in a similar boat can realize that too. There are other wonderful ways to showcase your amazing skill that don’t make you feel inferior like competitions can. And to those that thrive in the competition world you guys are out of this world and I’ll still always be a little jealous I’m not like you lol.
