This is my new next door neighbor, Justin and Reba.... aka "The Reebs," "The Reebers...," "The Reeber Beebers..."
They both moved in a few short months ago and it didnt even take a full 5 minutes before everyone in our nightly dog park group had instantly fallen for Reba. (Justin had to take the backburner for the time being) 🤣
Rebers has only one flaw, and one that there have been more than a handful of volunteers to assist with - and that is she is highly offended by the prospect of being left alone when he went to work. And after a short time, panic ensued and protests commenced. The howls were noticed, and I simply couldn't handle it and instructed Justin to "bring me that baby....."
So she officially gets to hang out with us during the day; which is all she wants. She even tolerates the frequent bappings and displays of power from Mavis, who has been not nearly as accommodating. And shes the most perfect and goodest girl and she even gets designated Grandma time at my parents if im not available.
So when Justin mentioned he was "looking for love" and needed some updated dating profile photos....I told him to say no more.
He hits all the green flags, ladies; and comes with full access to The Reebs. He also owns lots of weird and random things; like swords and daggers and s***.

Its truly been a joy getting to know and hang out with them both and Ive absolutely loved the post dog park hang outs with pizza and super Nintendo and Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World game nights.
Because thats all im qualified to participate in 🤣 cheers to new friends and neighbors!

A couple of days ago I had the sudden realization that it had been nearly 2yrs since Ive taken Liam to do his portraits after his 6th grade pictures popped up on my FB memories. Being the age he is, the difference between then and now is drastic.

Does he care that it's been two years? Absolutely not. Were bribes involved? Also yes.

But ultimately; he did survive it. He got to climb on random structures and stairways; and even got to shout "you're moms hot" through the back entrance of a business with unsuspecting strangers inside and proceeded to run for his life knowing Im not able to (patella fracture).... just leaving me behind to take the blame...all vulnerable and limping and on some apparent back alley mission looking for someone's hot mom. Which was sweet of him.

Oh and I got a long overdue hang out with one of the bestest besties which was SOO nice to catch up.

Just a few short weeks ago I FINALLY got to meet baby Landon and also give him his baby shower present ( only took me until he was 7 months old but better late than never right? ) Either way, it was a beautiful evening hanging out with Richie and Brittany since they both now work amongst the land of the living on "day-shift..." :-)
Landon was all smiles with beautiful bright blue eyes and not a single complaint. And since I also had the privilege of taking their maternity photos - I threw in a little PS fun. Thank you both for sharing your precious baby boy with me ❤️❤

Had my very last senior session last week, just in time for the yearbook due date! Even better, got to hang out with my cousin Ava as well because Cooper is her boyfriend. It was a gorgeous night, and watched the super moon glow in all its glory as the sun set for the day. You guys are the cutest couple ever, and thanks for spending a bit of your evening with me :-). 🎓 🎓

I don't photograph a lot of weddings anymore these days; simply due to the massive amount of work and demand that comes with wedding photography... but when Seanna inquired with me several months ago with a wedding on Halloween and with all the Halloween things... it was just one I couldn't turn down; because Halloween is legit my most favorite day ever; and clearly it was theirs as well...what better combo could their be?
Since then, Seanna become pregnant with their baby girl - due in February... and seeing how much these two adore eachother with so much life ahead of them made it all even more special of a day. I am always so humbled when couples trust me to document such an important time in there lives; and this time was no different. Thank you both for having me; and big thank you to your family and friends as well for their warm hospitality and willingness to help with whatever they could.
Congrats to you both!

My most recent senior session with Andrew was on a gorgeous misty autumn evening at Gross resevoir in Nederland, Colorado. It was a unique location that I had yet to take photos at; but Andrew loved the look of the mountains and resevoir in combination with distant cranes and 340ft high dam in the background that carries water from south boulder creek. The drive to get there for me is through Flagstaff road - and for those who are unfamiliar, it's one of Boulder, CO’s most iconic and scenic mountain drives. The road winds sharply up the foothills that consists of dramatic elevation gains ( climbing quickly from 5,400 ft to over 7,000ft in just a few miles ) The ascent is steep, with multiple sections exceeding a 10% grade.
Despite these conditions; however, it never fails that I encounter a car full of dude-bro college students in either a subaru or lifted truck who seem to all have a universal mission of aggressively tailgating the vehicle in front of them within inches of their bumper....everytime. both up and down the mountain... I'm fully convinced its just a part of the experience; and they take shifts.
but all that aside, it was a beautiful evening with beautiful views and I genuinely enjoyed the scenery.

I joined the rest of the leaf peppers in Colorado last weekend and met up with Kate and Sarah in the national park for the best colors Autumn in Colorado has to offer. We spent time in long lines and bumper to bumper traffic (which resulted in ME being 30 minutes late....) but we eventually found ourselves doing most of Kate's Senior Session in a peaceful corner of the park; listening to a gentle stream and nestled beneath the iconic golden aspens we initially set out to see. Basically making it a perfect, beautiful, fall session. Congrats; Kate! wishing you a memorable and happy senior year!
