Timelapse photography has been one of the constants in my life dating back to college. It’s always been an escape that forces me to live in the moment and soak in my surroundings. Spent the day going through my hard drives and re-editing some old timelapses from the past decade, and it brought back a lot of memories.

Hope you enjoy, and if you do I’ll put together a part two as I have more than enough footage to do so.

This may be an ad for walking the Via Francigena, but there’s no bias here… this may be one of my favorite trips I’ve ever done. This is now my Roman Empire and I hope to someday figure out how to put it into words… maybe that will be after I go back to walk to the full trail. Hope you enjoy.

It’s time we stop only talking about protecting public lands, and start being about it. Highly recommend getting on the email list for and/or your local public lands nonprofit to learn about how you can put boots on the ground . Also highly recommend joining whether you’re an individual or a business! I’ve been a member for over five years now, and it’s a great resource.

As an outdoor photographer I’m often misgrouped with wildlife photographers, a category I have all the respect for because my ADHD has the patience of a squirrel trying to find the last nut before winter. No no, I am an ✨opportunistic ✨ wildlife photographer… meaning if it walks out in front of me, then hell yeah 🤘

A day in the life walking the Via Francigena in partnership with .

One of the aspects I loved most about walking the trail, was just how simple my days were. It’s truly amazing how quickly your body adjusts to “this is my life now, I walk”.

What questions do you have about the Via Francigena?
