Crested Butte has always been one of my favorite destinations for a Colorado wedding, but summer here is truly something else. There’s a certain magic to being surrounded by endless mountains and wildflowers stretching in every direction, and it made the perfect backdrop for Kristen and Adam’s vision.

The two of them dreamed up a “Miami meets the mountains” wedding, a design that brought together both of their worlds into one cohesive story. Vibrant citrus tones, bold tropical florals in fiery oranges and reds, and warm terracotta details wove that Miami energy right into the wildflower meadows and aspen groves of Crested Butte. Every detail, from the bouquet to the tablescapes to the signature cocktails, told that same layered story of two people, two aesthetics, one beautiful day.

Here is a confession—I love a little rain on a wedding day.

Don’t get me wrong, I know it is not the most “ideal” of circumstances when planning an outdoor wedding, but here is the thing. Some of my favorite images often come from the real and unpredicted moments. The ones where you forget about the camera, the memories being made that you will laugh about later.

So here is my tip…

If you’re planning an outdoor Colorado wedding, build in a little grace for weather. Have a plan for it, then let it become part of the story instead of something to fight against. You might just find that these end up being some of your favorite images too.

Planning an engagement session? Here’s my favorite advice I share with couples.

Instead of only focusing on choosing a beautiful location, think about the unique element’s and details that make your story yours.

Maybe it’s the place you had your first date. A song that’s become your anthem. The letters you’ve saved. A weekend tradition. The dog who’s been there through every chapter. Those little pieces of your life together are what transform a session from beautiful into deeply meaningful.

For A & K, we returned to the area where they had their first date. They danced to Scotty Doesn’t Know, brought along their vintage 35mm camera, read letters they’d written to each other, and explored the mountains with their pup, Maggie.

Those moments weren’t planned to look perfect. They were simply honest. And that’s what makes them timeless.

Getting to witness two people so connected, in a place that truly means something to them, is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. It’s never something I take for granted. These sessions become more than portraits. They become a reflection of your story, exactly as it is.

K & G met at an art opening in New York.

So even though they chose to host their intimate wedding in Colorado, New York inspiration and style was woven throughout.

All of it from a life built in NY, brought to a hillside in Beaver Creek instead.

They said their vows near the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, with wildflowers and aspens catching the evening light. Quiet, golden, and intimate. Absolute perfection.

June 13th, 2026. If you know, you know — and if you don’t, the internet spent the better part of a year convinced it was going to be Taylor Swift’s wedding day.
It wasn’t. But it was Marina and Trevor’s. 
And honestly? They had a better claim to it anyway. These two got engaged at Denver Botanic Gardens. So when it came time to pick a venue, there was no list. No tours. Just this place, this date, and a string quartet that played Taylor Swift while Marina walked through a rose garden in the most beautiful floral appliqué veil .
 This is what fearless presence looks like. A couple who wanted to be nowhere else, with no one else, doing exactly what felt true to them. 
If you’re searching for a European-inspired wedding venue in Colorado, the Botanic Gardens photographs like nothing else in Denver. Every corner is its own world, and every season brings something completely different. 
And Marina — I hope you felt like the main character all day. Because you were. This was your Love Story, mirror balls and all, a whole Enchanted evening. The kind of day you’ll remember all too well.

Hats are trending, and I am here for it.

This custom oversized parasisol was hand-woven with silk thread by the incredible Virna Pasquinelli

Mari Walker | International Wedding & Event Planner and Bridal Strategist and Stylist Dubai completely outdid themselves with the design. The entire shoot centered around this hat and vintage Italian culture: the round shapes, the way light was intended to move through the silk, the veil mirroring the surrounding olive tree groves, the yellow of the lemon groves against the blue of the coastal waters.

Consider this a master class in how to intentionally layer details and design in ways that whisper, yet somehow set the foundation for an experience unlike any other.

Two thousand years of romance, and it still looks like this.

Relais Appia Antica sits along the Via Appia Antica, the oldest road in Rome, tucked beneath pines and cypresses and olive trees that have been here longer than most of what we call history. Inside, hand-painted frescoes and arched windows that feel less like architecture and more like a painting you walked into.

This is Rome the way it should be experienced. Quietly. Intimately. Without the crowds, just you, the person you chose, and something that feels ancient and alive at the same time.

There is something special about a riverside ceremony in the valley, with mountains on all sides.

brought H & T’s wedding to life with a setting that let the landscape lead. An open-air tent, floral tablecloths, and details that supported the day without taking it over. It all came together in a way that felt natural and kept the focus on being present with the people they love most.

What stayed with me most was the energy, the traditions, and the love. Nothing forced. Nothing performative. Just joy, emotion, and a weekend that felt like them.

This is always what I hope for my couples. A day that feels beautiful, but also honest. One where the design holds everything with care, and the moments still have room to breathe.

I never want your wedding photographs to be something you only look at once in a while on a screen.

They deserve a place in your hands. In your home. In the life you’re building together.

That’s what I love about albums. They let the story settle in. You experience the day differently when you can sit with it, turn the pages slowly, and come back to the moments you may not have even realized you’d miss.

Each album is printed on museum-quality fine art paper, bound by hand, and made to last for generations. The signature 9×12 size feels substantial without feeling oversized, like something you’ll actually leave out and reach for often.

I design each one myself, and I put a lot of care into how the story unfolds. I choose the images, shape the pacing, and make sure it feels true to your day from beginning to end. Once the design is ready, I send it to you in a cloud-based proofing system for review. After you approve it, it goes to print and is finished by hand.
