A little while back, Katie and her family wanted to create an extended bridal session where we could slow things down and make the focus more editorial and studio-forward.

I’m not sure if this is a photographer-exclusive problem, but so many of us have these gorgeous shoots sitting on hard drives with barely enough time to post them. While going through older work for a website redesign, I found these absolute gems from Katie’s editorial bridal session and had to finally share them. Because good work like this had to be posted.

Courtney and Bryan’s Wedding day at Hotel Boulderado & Greystone Castle. A celebration that felt incredibly intentional from beginning to end.

The day started at Hotel Boulderado, where custom gowns from David Peck and Carolina Herrera set an elegant tone for everything that followed. From there, Belle Events, led by Chelsea, brought together a thoughtfully chosen team of vendors who worked seamlessly behind the scenes to bring the Greer family’s vision to life.

The Perfect Petal Boutique created lush, saturated floral moments that transformed the reception, with custom installations stretching across the dance floor and through the bespoke tent before carrying that same sense of beauty into Greystone’s backyard ceremony. House of Wilde Events brought in custom furniture in soft cornflower tones that beautifully complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses. Shamane’s Bakery, Design by Mattison, Lovely Kind Beauty, Therinis, and Hermes Limo each added their own piece to a day where every detail had a purpose.

What stood out most was how calm the entire celebration felt (truly). That kind of ease doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from thoughtful planning, a trusted vendor team, and a family willing to give their creative team the space to do what they do best.

The Greer family trusted a hand-picked group of professionals to bring their vision together, and the result was a wedding that felt polished without ever feeling overdone. Elegant, warm, and incredibly well executed, it was one of those celebrations where everything seemed to fall naturally into place.

This is what matters. Not the rushed run through of poses, not checking the box on “getting the shot.” It’s you two, on top of a mountain, actually being with each other for a second before life gets loud again.

That’s the part of this job I care about most. Sure, I’m there to capture your day, but I’m also there to remind you to slow down and feel it, because the moments you take your time in are the ones you’ll actually remember.
