Hot Springs brides… this one is for you. 🤍

Liz + Michael’s wedding was the perfect mix of timeless and romantic — a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary of the Springs followed by their celebration at Oaklawn Resort.

And can we talk about Liz? The veil, the dress, the flowers… 🤍 But some of my favorite images are the quiet ones — the two of them sitting together during the ceremony, Michael kissing her forehead, and that veil shot. Those are the moments I want my couples to still feel when they look at their photographs years from now.

Hot Springs is such a beautiful place to get married, especially when you can combine the history and architecture of downtown with a venue like Oaklawn.

Wedding tip: Keep everyone in the loop when plans change!!!Even small changes like your date, timeline, venue, or vendors need to be communicated so everyone is working off the same information.

The caterers didn’t show up… because the couple had changed their wedding date and forgot to tell them 😅

If something does go wrong? Take a breath. We’ll figure it out🤍

Wedding day tip: don’t set your cake out too early… especially somewhere it can melt🎂

Here’s the thing: Something COULD go a little wrong on your wedding day. And that’s okay. Plans can be adjusted, problems can be solved, and as your photographer I’m there to help make sure you still have the best day ever. 🤍

The Kroger cake Mom threw together ended up being perfect and honestly makes for an even better story!

Should you do a first look? Let’s talk about it — with the grooms in mind 🤍

For some grooms, seeing their bride for the first time walking down the aisle is a moment they’ve dreamed about their entire lives. For others, a first look gives them a private moment to actually take it all in, calm the nerves, and be present with each other.

There’s no “right” answer. Whatever you choose, make sure you’re choosing it because it feels right for YOU TWO — not because you feel like you’re supposed to.

They traveled all the way from Michigan to Hot Springs, Arkansas to get married—and I can’t think of a more beautiful place for them to have chosen.

Katie and Dylan said “I do” at Anthony Chapel, tucked into the woods of Garvan Woodland Gardens. With its soaring wood beams, walls of glass, and the trees surrounding you in every direction, it’s one of those places where you almost feel like you’re getting married outside—just without having to worry quite so much about what the weather decides to do.

Afterward, everyone headed to Chittum Event Center to celebrate, and the day became exactly what a destination wedding should be: not just a ceremony and a reception, but an experience shared with the people who traveled to be there with them.

I love that Katie and Dylan chose to come to Arkansas for this chapter of their story. Your wedding doesn’t have to happen where you live. It can happen in a place you fall in love with, a place that gives you the kind of day you actually want to have.

And if you’ve never considered Hot Springs for a destination wedding or intimate wedding weekend, you probably should. 🤍

Some wedding days feel like they were pulled straight from a storybook, and Sommer & Levi’s was one of them.

From their heartfelt ceremony tucked away in the beauty of Anthony Chapel to a reception beneath the Arkansas sky on family property, every part of the day was filled with meaning, love, and unforgettable moments.

Sommer was absolutely stunning in a dress that seemed made just for her, and every detail of the reception reflected the warmth and joy that surrounded these two. The laughter, the happy tears, the dance floor, and the love shared by family and friends made this a celebration we’ll never forget.

Sommer & Levi, thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a beautiful chapter in your story. Wishing you a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and love.
