I have been making scalemail and chainmail for 6 years always striving to be unique and use the most elevated materials available. I actually have a serious metal allergy and anodized aluminum is hypoallergenic šŸ’œ
I love wearing armor bc on my days my body feels itā€™s weakest it makes me feel protected and beautiful even if it is just costume not going to battle.
When I read fourth wing I knew Violet had the ame connective tissue disorder I had and her armor was a way for her to feel safe. My body always has injuries that you canā€™t see and severe nerve pain and armor is like my security blanket.

I was commissioned to create a maternity gown for Feyre. In Sarah J Maas epic series, Acotar, Feyre became a notable diplomat and world traveler. I wanted her gown to represent her love of all of the places she traveled .
Draped in starlight and her night court signature colors, this gown also carries the influence of her time in the summer court .
Breezy sheer billowing fabrics and cascading drapes with an eclectic world traveler in mind.

Yea I know itā€™s blasphemous but I did itā€¦
I didnā€™t have a direct plan of action but it started bc I hated that giant rosette and weird shape of the sheath dress . It was an ankle length sheath dress with a waist cape skirt.. now itā€™s a work in progress,
but itā€™s going somewhere for sure!!
I took the skirt from the sheath and created an additional panel@to close the cape skirt, removed the rosette, created a crop top that is pleated like a rib cage, added grommets to close it in the back and of course all@of the gold details. Still have to actually see the draped cape. Might opt for a simple circlet instead of my statement art nouveau piece .

Obviously there is some artistic freedom here.

Iā€™m over the moon seeing my design on the remarkable violin goddess Lindsey Stirling . So incredibly grateful for her support of small artists. I almost passed out when I saw this promo video and my single shoulder copper dragon scale armor was on her shoulder!!

I took a short break from my current design commission to tell everyone Iā€™ve ever met LOL
