"An ode to Summer"

I've been so excited about this session. I bought floaties on sale months ago, Shelby ordered a gorgeous amount of bright dresses, and Tyler threw some fresh salmon on their new handcrafted outdoor oven. Mix in some sparkles, donuts, florals, and a unicorn sprinkler... and you have one heck of a Summer party! Of course we had to end the evening on the lake with a couple cannon balls and the grand finale of Shelby jumping in with her dress on! The best day, some of my favorite people, and a whole lot of core memories added to the collection.

Well that was insane! Literally every location, every photo, every detail I couldn't have been more excited about. Starfish, sunshine, seagulls, trees, and the best weather with the best company. Was I so excited when I found out Kyla and James were having a little babe? Absolutely. Did I invite myself into their hospital stay so I could snag some photos and snuggle their new squish? Of course! Hospital photos are some of my favorite keepsakes to hand over and I am so excited for baby Grantley to realize how cool his parents are. đź©·

This year is a wild one. All this little dudes that my boys have grown up alongside, are now getting ready to graduate... Tractors, cattle, big rigs, dogs, and dirt roads... all a part of Jon's upbringing and built in to his DNA... his dad taught him so much and there is no doubt he would be so proud of the man he has become, and his mom and sis couldn't love him more than they already do. Thanks for hanging with me, Jon (but please know you'll always Jon Henry to me).

A million memories to share from this fun loving Montana wedding! I've only been home for a few hours after a full day of travel, and am so excited to put some of these fun moments out into the world. Taylor and Hailey... thank you... for bringing this Oregon girl to your home, for letting me in on all these memories, and for bringing all of your beautiful energy to the day. JACOB // CLASS OF 2027

And someone who has been a part of our world since he was little. For his Montana senior session adventure, we followed him to the top of a mountain (the kind where you don't want to look down), played on dirt roads, and wandered through Harlowtown, stepping in front of every nook and cranny I could find. A best friend to my son, a love to his girl, Ashtyn, and a brother ready to watch his sister get married tomorrow. His parents, proud as can be, are some of our favorite people and we are so grateful for their friendship. Happy senior year, Jake!

And my biggest supporter of using a chunk of space from a random piece of property. Every time I would question myself, there she was... "It's ok, they're just photos, they won't mind". And so... I present to you... some of the most beautiful photos Montana has ever seen, because Ash is one of the prettiest to step foot on the ground in front of me. She got to take this little trip with Jacob (see previous post) and of course we had to get her in on the fun. Did you know there are dandelions in Montana the size of baseballs? And that the dirt roads never end. And at the top of the mountain at Crystal Lake, is basically a mini Mt. Ranier without all the people? Well... now you know. "come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination..."

I came across Isabel on tiktok a little over a year ago. Her beautiful red hair and thriving flower garden caused me to slide in to her dm's pretty late in the evening and say "hey...you...me...photos...yes?" But in a more professional manner of course. Her and Jacob have the sweetest love story and are living their best life on the farm. Animals, room to roam, and a beautiful place to call home. I'll share more later, but immediately had to upload this photo because I love it so much (and a few more to scroll through because the day was too sunny not to share)

A very special session...I've been photographing Maya since she was in high school...fast forward to baby #2, a surprise proposal, and perfect weather and you have yourself one of the best days ever.
