My new favorite thing is when grandma tags along to a session & quietly whispers behind me “oh I have one just like that of her when she was little”.
It’s probably what makes me buy every tiny wooden chair in every antique store across the southeast.
That nostalgia. The way your mom saved your baby dresses that your daughter now wears. That’s what I’m chasing.

What was the trick? Mom had to step out for a moment. And I got eye contact & smiles. Sometimes it’s bubbles, sometimes it’s one single smartie, sometimes it’s a sneeze sound. But what I know is after photographing thousands of kids.. I’ll figure out what it takes to get one that you love.
