Some portraits become more than photographs. They become a little piece of a story.

When Jayna’s grandma asked that she wear her ribbon skirt and belt for her session, I knew there was something special about what we were creating.

As a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, the Schitsu’umsh, Jayna carries a connection to her culture and the generations before her. Her ribbon skirt is a beautiful expression of that heritage, strength, and identity.

✨Some photographs become more than photographs✨

They become part of a family’s history. They hold moments, people, and pieces of life that can never be recreated quite the same way again.

Seeing these images included as the Massey family shared Poppy’s story with People means so much to me. Not because of where they were published, but because of what these photographs have come to mean to their family.

Hearing Kaylee call the first image their “forever family photo” meant more to me than I can really put into words.

It’s such a reminder that we never know which photographs will become the ones we hold onto the tightest.

I’m so grateful to have been trusted with a small piece of their story.
