Successful first day! Can’t believe we’re already to their last year of elementary & middle school! Can’t wait to see them do their thing this year!

Squeezed in my first sprint triathlon on Sunday before turning 40 today. Never would have thought I’d be doing things like this or running half marathons, but here we are! Will be interesting to see what God has in store for me & what crazy things I’ll end up signing up for in the years to come. Today though, I’m just super grateful for all the wonderful people and blessings I’ve had in my life.

Still in disbelief that my girl turned 13 this weekend! She is talented, funny, kind, smart, athletic, and sarcastic. From the volleyball court to the pool to completing her first youth triathlon, I love watching her compete. She’s got a creative side too, and her art is beautiful, just like her heart. Couldn’t be prouder to be her mom! Can’t wait to watch her continue to become the woman God made her to be!

It’s insane that it’s already July 1…. 🫠 While I’m not thrilled that summer’s basically over, I AM excited about booking branding shoots for when the school year starts. I’ve already got a few on the calendar & I can’t wait! 🥰

There have been so many years where I’ve put in the work leading up to New Years Day & have my goals set & a plan made… this is NOT one of those years.

I don’t know if it was a super busy fall season that for one reason or another rolled right past my normal “cut off” date in early December, the flu hitting our house & leaving just in time for thankfully spending Christmas morning together, or a general need to just slow down rather than kick into planning mode… but whatever the reason, I just didn’t end 2025 fired up to start fighting/striving in 2026.

That being said, I know there are some mainstays that will continue to be a focus for me this year: serving my clients well and using my God-given gifts, deepening my faith and growing closer to God, and reading (or listening to) lots of good books.

I’m curious… are you starting 2026 with goals in place or easing into what you want this year to bring? Also - if you have books that need to be added to my list for the year, drop ‘em in the comments!
