How our little cake smash session for EJ ended - because he wasn’t much of a fan of the cake part, but loved the bath he took to clean up after.

I’ve done a session like this for all 3 kiddos and the post-smash bath has become a sweet tradition.

Really can’t believe how many memories I’ve been able to preserve for this amazing family over the years!

“Shorts Season Sessions” are BACK!

These quick, no pressure sessions are perfect for bottling up the summer season and I freaking love doing them. They’re 100% documentary and can take place right in your backyard (or in the driveway or on your front porch)!

Let the popsicles melt, the sprinklers flow, and don’t worry about putting shoes on or picking out outfits. This is a session that’s made for getting messy and feeling free. Most of all it’s just meant to be fun!

Here are the deets:
$450
45 minutes
10 images (or an additional $150 for the full gallery)
Prints and albums available
June-August only

Oh and with how busy this summer is with travel I’m limiting these to 5 SESSIONS.

You’ve probably heard me talk about the importance of printing photos, but I know sometimes that’s easier said than done.

If you’re like me you probably have upwards of 10000 images on your phone. How many have you printed? How overwhelmed are you by the sheer number of photos that you just can’t seem to do anything with them?

That’s me (and you can imagine just how much worse my situation is with how many photos I take on both my phone and my big camera). It’s just so much, but I recently got to work with an amazing company that makes this whole mess so much easier to deal with and gets those photos in my hands every month.

reached out to me a couple months ago to make images of their print subscription products - being a women owned business and one that takes great pride in making printing photos easier, I was ecstatic to jump in.

I have since found myself becoming a Mootsh evangelist because holy crap the monthly deliveries feel like such a treat. You pick 10 images (which they remind you to do) and they show up beautifully printed in glassine envelopes - all of which is stored in the most adorable printed sleeves. They even have boxes that fit those sleeves perfectly so you can have an organized place to store months of memories.

I’ll drop a link in my stories to their website, because if you haven’t got the moms in your life something for Mother’s Day yet… this is sure to bring her some joy!

A few weeks ago I flew down to Florida to photograph my dear friend and her family.

Because she’s also a documentary family photographer, she also had me take behind the scenes shots of her working with clients. It was so fun and very much has me wanting to do more sessions for other photographers like this.

Why albums?

Documentary sessions will always be about the full story. A beginning, a million middles, and an end. There will be pulled back shots to show the setting, closer in emotional moments, and details galore.

Much like a musical album, the elements are best enjoyed together, in order, and carefully curated by the artist.

Albums are the only product I ever spend time talking about with my clients and it’s because I’m so passionate about them being the absolute most meaningful way to enjoy the session in a non-digital form. Of course there are ones you’ll want to print and hang up on their own, but there’s just something to be said about holding a heavy book of memories that gathers everyone close to enjoy it.

The quality also matters so much, and I wouldn’t want to trust anyone else with my clients precious memories than . They are truly the best ❤️
