I took a ride down to the Mojave National Preserve to get a look at the stars that I have been missing of late. And of course I took the camera and snapped this shot from Cima Road with the quarter moon still in the sky casting shadows on the miles and miles of Joshua Trees. There is two photos of the Milky Way and the Joshua Trees, but one is a crop of the whole shot I took with better composition that I was looking for. The other is of the whole sky with the massive amount of stars you get to see when you get away from people and pollution. I have another pic from further down the road. I will post that down the road too!

I didn't get a chance to post our snow in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area a couple of weeks ago, but here is a shot from my go-to place where you get to see the weather on the Rainbow Mountains there and Mt Wilson. Also a comparison to the Giant's Campfire print that is so well circulated.
I think that's it for our snow this year, unless the end of March brings something, it is warm this year. On to flower blooms now.

Death valley with Badwater Basin's Lake Manly this year. It was perfect weather in Death Valley National Park ! The days are way too short, but the views are awesome with the sun closer to the horizon and amazing storm clouds rolling through.
This shot goes into so much detail so that when I print one of my photos, it is ridiculous quality in high resolution.

The last of the fall colors in Zion National Park are taking place in the lower elevations with the cottonwood trees showing off. This shot was taken in the southwest part of the Zion National Park where no one usually goes because you can't drive your fat ass in or have the bus cart you here, but you have to hike a little bit and into the park a bit to see some of the features.... Like the lava stones behind this group of trees from a magma flow that occurred around the time of Joseph Smith was burying his golden pages. Mention this post and the sarcasm of it for a discount on any prints ordered from my website on or before Thanksgiving weekend!! If you have a good sarcastic comeback to this, you get a bigger discount. Like to my site is on this FB page....

Looking back through some pics from a couple years ago I found this shot of some switchbacks in Bryce National Park. It was perfect hiking weather: cold temps, clouds, and a little drizzle. Bryce is not one of my favorite Parks, but it is still fun to get into and hike for a day.
