What is the 40 Over 40 Project?
That’s a great question.!

The 40 Over 40 Project is a luxury portrait experience created to celebrate women over 40 and show the world that beauty, confidence, and purpose don’t have an expiration date.

Each participant enjoys a magazine style photoshoot complete with professional hair and makeup, guided posing, and a day dedicated entirely to celebrating her story.

The project will culminate in a beautiful gallery exhibition this fall, where we’ll showcase the incredible women who took part in the experience.

And if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time. I only have TWO spots left before the project officially closes.

The gallery show is coming in late September, so stay tuned for more details. It’s going to be an unforgettable celebration.

I Hi, I’m Joy— just a girl and photographer creating an experience for women who I can deeply relate to.

The 40 Over 40 is hands down the most powerful portrait experience I’ve ever worked on. It has become a project that feeds my soul, empowering women and learning the stories that have shaped their lives.

I started this work because I wanted to give women something more than just photos. I wanted to create an experience that actually means something—something that feels fun, a little indulgent, and genuinely transformative.

When I was a young girl picking up my first 35mm…it was my first experience truly seeing... My eyes had been open, but I was blind. Experiencing life through my lens has enabled me to see the nuances in nature and people that make up the wonder of what life is all about.

As I entered into my forties my mission became clear: to help women remember who they were before they became everything to everyone else. Through my lens, I seek to capture not just their outer beauty, but also their spirit and individuality, reminding them that they are worthy of celebration and love. My passion is capturing the special moments in lives of all of my clients and photographing women of all backgrounds to show them how beautiful they are in their own skin.
